Indus Tubes Limited, is a company of ITL Group having interests in Manufacturing International Trade, Real Estate, Financial Services, Information Technology, Education & Remote Data Processing with special emphasis of Steel Tubes manufacturing. The Group's turnover is IRs.2000 millions.
Tubes are manufactured from mild steel strips slitted from H.R. Coils confirming to IS : 10748-1984. The strip passes through a series of driven forming and fin rolls and takes a required circular shape and welded continuously by the passage of an electric current of high frequency at 4, 50, 000 cycles/second across the abutting edges. After the excess weld bead has been removed, the pipe passes through a set of sizing rolls where it rolls to the correct outside diameter. The pipes are then cut into required length by automatic cutting machine.
