Russian State Enterprise Germanium works on germanium market as a sovereign company more than eight years. It was formed in December 1961 on the basis of germanium production belonged to the Krasnoyarsk Non-Ferrous Metals Plant.

For this relatively short period of time our company became an exporter of it's production to foreign market of Europe, USA and Japan.

The company is acknowledged by foreign germanium producers as an equal partner and is one of the five biggest germanium producers in the world.

At present SE "Germanium" is the only plant in Russia with full cycle of processing, large capacities and wide range of production available.

1961 founded as the germanium production of Krasnoyarsk Non-Ferrous Metals Plant
1968 - 1969 successful start of germanium dioxide export
1970 start of germanium polycrystalline zone-refined export
1986 start of germanium tetrachloride for optical fiber production
1987 first monocrystals of ultra pure germanium production
1991 recognized as a sovereign State Enterprise "Germanium" (separation from Non-Ferrous Metals Plant)
1994 establishment of Uzbek-Russian joint- venture for germanium concentrate production

80% of our activity is devoted to foreign consumers. We are ready to produce material taking into consideration all customers' requirements.

35-years long experience of physicists, chemists and engineers in development and production semiconductor germanium is successfully handed over to a young generation.
SE Germanium has 110 employees.
